In regards to the star system explanation. How do you think the small amounts of people who earn enormous amounts of money on a few art stars also have interest in affecting the trajectory of art history?ie assuring contemporary works are significant in the shaping of future valued art. If this is an issue how does each player get their hands on the steering wheel of art history?
